Basil gives meat, pasta, and appetizers a fresh, herbal flavor. The popular, herbaceous, fresh, anti-stress aroma is a classic of Italian cuisine for tomato and vegetable dishes. It pairs well with rosemary, for example as a salad dressing, with citrus aromas, and also with the noble rose. Use very sparingly!

Furthermore, this warm, exotic, and herbal essential oil can be beneficial even outside the kitchen!
The spicy, fresh, slightly pungent aroma of basil is motivating, dispels negative thoughts, and frees the heart from all worries. Basil combines particularly well with bergamot and orange.
Basil essential oil dispels negative thoughts and eliminates melancholy. It creates a feeling of lightness and joy.
It is widely used as a mosquito repellent in combination with essential oils of geranium, citronella, and lavender.

It blends well with aromas of bergamot, geranium, cypress, Scotch pine, rosewood, lavender, ylang-ylang, sweet orange, peppermint.
APPLICATIONS:

• For room fragrancing – max. 5 drops in an aroma lamp for rooms up to 20 sq.m.
• For massage – add no more than 10 drops of essential oil to 50 ml of a base oil of your choice
• For bath – 3 to 5 drops of essential oil, previously dissolved in 2 ml of base oil, are added to a warm bath
• In cooking – for flavoring dishes

Advice for culinary use: The number of drops is determined by the quantity of ingredients and personal taste. The essential oil is first mixed with honey, syrup, or vegetable oil, then added to the other ingredients. If possible, avoid heat treatment or add at the end.
CAUTION: Not to be used by pregnant women and people with sensitive skin! Store the essential oil tightly closed in a dark place out of reach of children!
