Maple trees are the sole source of the syrup and are found in the USA and Canada. The process of extracting maple syrup is a centuries-old tradition in North America, where Native Americans used it for both food and medicine.

This sticky, amber-colored syrup with a sweet taste is extracted from the sap of a black or red maple tree through a processing method. Initially, the sap is clear, almost tasteless, and has a very low sugar content. It is then boiled to achieve greater density, flavor, and color. The sugar content of the resulting syrup is about 60%.

Maple syrup is also rich in carbohydrates, fiber, sodium, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, amino acids, etc. It is suitable for making irresistible homemade desserts or as a topping on pancakes.
